An Outrage: Film Screening

Join the documentary filmmakers and the Center for Civil and Human Rights for a community conversation and Georgia premiere of “An Outrage.” This riveting documentary sheds light on the hidden history of lynching in the 80-year period between Reconstruction and the Civil Rights Movement, highlighting multigenerational family stories and the relevance of lynching to racial violence today.

The film will be distributed, with accompanying curriculum, by the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Teaching Tolerance program, reaching 500,000 teachers–and their millions of students–across the country.
