For the third consecutive year, the Arnie’s March Atlanta benefitting the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will be held in conjunction with the TOUR Championship. This year, the fundraising walk will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9-11 a.m. at East Lake Golf Club.
To register and learn more, participants can visit http://choa.org/arniesmarch. Marchers will walk on the TOUR Championship competition golf course at East Lake Golf Club. The route will start at hole 15, continue around the lake and finish at the first tee box.
Arnie’s March Atlanta provides an opportunity to recognize and to honor young cancer-fighters, their families, hospital staff and supporters. The fun event provides opportunities to win prizes for fundraising, completing activities, inviting others and spreading the word on social media. Before the march, participants can enjoy face painting, putt-putt, crafts and other activities, as well as snacks from Chick-fil-A.
To get involved, participants can create or join a fundraising team, make a donation or register to march. Funds raised will remain in the Atlanta area to support pediatric cancer care at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Nearly 16,000 children are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. each year. Arnie’s March is inspired by the late golfing legend Arnold Palmer, who challenged the community to always “do better” when it comes to pediatric healthcare. Arnie’s March, along with other events presented by the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation and its partners, gives fans a chance to continue the legacy of man who championed a #LifeWellPlayed, especially for children in need. September 10, 2019 would have been Palmer’s 90th Birthday.
Participants should park in Lot 2 located at the corner of Alston Drive and East Lake Drive, then walk or travel to the Alston Entrancefrom Lot 2. No parking passes will be required for the March.
