For more than 70 years, CARE has helped women and girls around the world overcome poverty for themselves, their families and their communities. We’re proud to have spent about one-third of that time in Atlanta, whose long tradition of fighting injustice inspires us still.
On March 3, we invite you to join CARE’s annual fundraising event, Walk In Her Shoes. We will walk in solidarity with women and girls worldwide who trudge miles each day to attend school, fetch water or bring goods to and from the market. With each step, we’ll march toward a more just future in which women and girls everywhere access a quality education, loans to start businesses, nutritious food and more. People on each continent will join a movement to fundraise, raise awareness and walk so that all people have equal rights and opportunities.
This unique event will bring together Michelle Nunn, CARE’s President and CEO, and other individuals and families like you. The event will feature hands-on activities, family-friendly entertainment and a 3 mile walk on the Beltline. Experience CARE’s global work in a local context. Join us!
