Express Yourself: Social Justice Spoken Word

The Center for Civil and Human Rights is pleased to provide an opportunity for emerging artists in Fulton County and surrounding communities to address today’s most pressing human rights issues through artistic expression.

Guests will experience spoken word and musical performances from local artists, while reflecting on critical human rights moments throughout the Center. This evening program provides a unique opportunity to engage young professionals and performance art enthusiast, as they explore the interconnectedness between performance and social justice.

Performances will take place on each floor of The Center, providing a stage for artists to perform for up to 350 guests. Past artists featured include Rapper Killer Mike, SoulFoodCypher – Atlanta premier freestyle rap cypher, artist Nubia Lives and poet Queshan Hayes.
