The Makossa Cookout began in 2010 as an intimate affair in a small Brooklyn, New York backyard. Since then, the party has enjoyed a rapid, organic growth, expanded to Los Angeles and is now a premier summer destination on both coasts. Makossa Cookouts features live DJs spinning a balanced mix of hip-hop, R&B, Latin, soul, reggae, electronic, and dance music. It is our ability to traverse many genres that is our trademark and biggest appeal. Drinks, games, and a food menu featuring the best of what summertime has to offer rounds out the experience.

Charlotte was a hoot. Chicago was on fire. Now it’s Atlanta’s turn. Join us as we bring you our final event of the #KickbackSeries with Miller Lite for a day of good music, good food and good vibes. We will have DJs from both of our Brooklyn and Los Angeles crews as well as ATL’s own Wally Sparks. And just to round things out nicely, we’re scooping our homie and world reknown DJ/poet/producer Rich Medina from Philly on the way down south.
