NECTAR PARTNERS WITH GEORGIA TECH TO PROVIDE HEALTHIER COLLEGE DINING OPTION ON CAMPUS
Students Can Expect to Find more Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free Options on the Menu
Nectar, an Atlanta-based Healthy Lifestyle Cafe, is now offering a healthier fare for Georgia Tech students and faculty on campus. With handcrafted smoothies, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free hot pressed sandwiches, soups and salads on the menu.
Students want to know what is in their food, and sustainability is a growing concern. Nectar commitment to work with local vendors and a sustainable initiative were key in bringing healthier meal options on campus for Georgia Tech.
Nectar uses only recyclable containers and chooses to work with local vendors to reduce carbon footprint. Nectar partnered with local coffee roaster Batdorf and Bronson, H&F Bakery, Pure Kneads in order to reduce carbon impact and support the local economy.
The grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday April 19, 2017 with giveaways from Nectar, a Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Tasting and more. Nectar at Georgia Tech is located at 315 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30322. Nectar will be open from Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The Nectar food truck will also be on campus two times a week.
Owners Naruna Rangel born in Brazil and Gaurav Malhotra from India started Nectar nine years ago with the first location in Decatur, Georgia. They now have expanded to Piedmont Park, Georgia Tech and two food trucks. Also offering Catering and On-site events with the food trucks.
Some of the highlights on the menu are the made from scratch vegan Carrot & Coconut Soup, Chicken with fresh cut Avocado Hot Pressed Sandwich and the Vegetarian Reuben Sandwich with the option to get all sandwiches on local gluten free bread.
