Outbreak Zombie Run is a fun 5K run that not only tests runners’ abilities but also their ability to do light obstacles. On October 28, 2017, at Clayton State University (2000 Clayton State Blvd, Morrow, GA 30260) from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, runners, zombies, and volunteers will get to enjoy getting fit while running from zombies. The purpose of this 5k run is to promote health and wellness, support Domestic Violence Awareness month, and connect people of the local community.
In addition, this 5k run proceeds will help D.I.V.A.S Mentoring a non-profit organization to create programming to bring awareness and help stop domestic violence. Participants can register for the role of runner, zombie, or volunteer. Runners main aim is to complete the 5K run with all flags.
How the run works:
Runners main aim is to complete the 5K run unscathed while completing light obstacles. Zombies main role is to attempt to grab the runner’s flag, using a combination of both arms, one arm, and one leg, or only their legs. Volunteers are there to support both runners and zombies alike, attempting to level the playing field.
