Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia’s first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence, will host its 9th annual Teen Summit on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Decatur High School. The free event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., focuses on empowering teens and adults to deepen the dialogue on teen dating violence, and prompt next steps that will help drive “Dialogue and Action” – the event’s theme this year.
Teen Summit offers parents and teens an improved understanding of the ingredients that make up respectful relationships, as well as how to recognize the warning signs and patterns of dating violence. Through hands-on activities, workshops and teen-led sessions, this event will equip both teens and adults with the tools necessary to not only engage in hard conversations, but grow in an understanding of each other’s perspectives and concerns and generate plans of action attendees can take back to their own communities.
