PADV Presents Men’s Leadership Breakfast on Nov 1

WHAT:

Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia’s first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence, will host this year’s second Men’s Leadership Breakfast on Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Hilton Atlanta Airport. This session, titled “Helping Youth Develop Healthy Relationships Outside of the Locker Room,” will discuss the role sports coaches can play in helping youth build healthy and respectful relationships as adults. The discussion will also tackle the challenges presented by today’s sports culture.

PADV’s Men’s Leadership Breakfast Series is a program created to encourage more men to be involved in the fight against domestic violence and to have a stronger voice in its elimination. In conjunction with Hilton Hotels, the breakfast series began in 2017 after a valued Hilton Atlanta employee was shot and killed by her boyfriend while she was at work.

This is a two-part series of breakfasts, which take place at different Hilton-owned properties throughout the metro Atlanta area. The first breakfast took place in June and covered how men can handle domestic violence situations they may encounter at work and beyond. Last year’s topics included teen dating violence, domestic violence in the workplace and men’s role in growing healthy children.
