Join the Goethe-Zentrum for a fun evening with Schlagermusik from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today.
With support from the GACF and GACC the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta is hosting their first Schlagerparty at Der Biergarten (300 Marietta Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313)in Atlanta on May 17, 2019 at 7pm.
Tickets cost $20 per person and include light German bites, a costume contest (wear your favorite Tracht , 70’s, 80’s or 90’s outfit) and an amazing atmosphere. There is a cash bar serving German beer, wine and anything else you’re thirsty for.
The roots of German Schlager are old, but it reached its peak of popularity in the 1960s and 1970s. Today it’s making a comeback! It is a very unique style of music and is ranked as the perfect German music for entertainment and dancing.
