American Craft Council’s (ACC) newest program addition, Style Slam, returns for its second year, pairing three professional stylists with the talented network of ACC fashion wearable, accessory and jewelry artists to demonstrate how the statement pieces this show is known for are the perfect fit for any fashion-conscious wardrobe.
Style Slam challenges local stylists to create looks featuring craft wearables on live models and mannequins. The looks created by each stylist will be modeled in the Make Room program, which showcases vignettes curated by local interior designers and featuring fine craft objects. Style Slam’s fashion ensembles and Make Room’s vignettes will provide a unique opportunity for patrons to experience the intersection of high-end fashion and home décor utilizing fine craft pieces. This collaboration, Design Meets Style, will be held at the heart of the show floor, Make Room area, at 11:30 a.m.
The program also offers a make-over opportunity to American Craft Council members chosen through a drawing at the Show. The member makeover will take place at the Style Slam booth at 1 p.m. and its reveal is scheduled at 3:30 p.m.
This year’s three participating Style Slam stylists are:
