Come to the Zuckerman Museum of Art to create elephant puppets with the Center for Puppetry Arts. We will decorate a communal Ijele masquerade inspired by the Nigerian Igbo tradition to honor the 96 elephants poached every day in Africa. Zoo Atlanta will be onsite to discuss conservation efforts. You can also help the KSU Print Club create an elephant banner. Then on October 14, march with the ZMA, Center for Puppetry Arts, and KSU Print Club in the KSU Homecoming Parade at 4:30 p.m. A puppeteer from the Center will wear the Ijele displaying our elephants to lead the procession. Both events are free + open to the public.
