After four years of traveling the East Coast, steadily building a reputation as a live act not to be missed, Asheville music ambassadors The Fritz, played a strong year of sets showing thousands of new fans what throngs of Southeastern music lovers have known for years: The Fritz likes to get funky. As much as they take their funk seriously, the band takes it’s rock-honed songwriting just as seriously, but the wellcrafted song is not the only final product in the live forum. Individually, the members of The Fritz are masters of improvisation, carefully weaving their personality into each performance.
While the music may range from hard driving soul to progressive rock, a common thread of The Fritz’s passionate energy reigns true in each show. Whether live or in the studio, the band creates an energetic dance party every time. In March of 2013, The Fritz released Bootstrap, a collection of songs written over their years touring the Southeast. The boys played their biggest year to date in 2015. Completing appearances at festivals such as Wakarusa and Camp Barefoot, they are currently working on their upcoming third audio and video release. New fans and old eagerly anticipate the new music. The Fritz looks forward to a great year in 2016, as they continue their relentless drive to bring intoxicating live music to crowds everywhere.
In March of 2013, The Fritz released their second studio effort “Bootstrap”. The album is a collection of songs the band wrote over the past 4 years while traveling the Southeast, steadily building a reputation as a live act not to be missed. As they enter 2014, the band begins pre-production for their next studio album to be recorded in their hometown of Asheville, NC. Bird Dog Jubilee
Bird Dog Jubilee is a 4 piece jam band from Atlanta, GA whose sound blends classic and psychedelic rock with a touch of the blues. Formed in early 2014 playing private parties and outdoor festivals, they quickly developed their own style through different influences. Bird Dog Jubilee’s use of musical improvisation and blend of musical genres sets them apart from what you see on stage today. Inspired by The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, The Band, and Phish, Bird Dog Jubilee has crafted their own unique sound with catchy lyrics, intricate guitar riffs, and crunchy jams. Always playing a different set and using different theatrics, they will keep you begging for more.
The Groove Orient
The Groove Orient (TGO) is a high-powered, no-holds-barred, rock ‘n’ roll act based out of Orlando, FL. This five member group boasts a musical versatility and originality that many followers describe as ‘Florida rock.’ TGO has drawn attention from both local and national listeners, primarily known as a Rock n Roll band they earned the title of Orlando Weekly’s Best Jazz Band of 2015, Best Experimental band of 2014 as well as being nominated for Best Rock and Best Pop both years. The Groove Orient was also featured in Relix Magazine’s 40th Anniversary issue.
TGO recently followed up their breakout EP Welcome to the Show, with the much anticipated release of their second EP Generation Y, at the House of Blues Orlando to an audience of over 1,300 attendees. Along with the House of Blues, TGO has also performed at Suwannee Hulaween, Orange Blossom Jamboree, Florida Music Festival, WJRR’s Earthday Birthday, and WPRK’s Fox Fest , with numerous local and national festivals to come.
