The Media and The Nuremberg Trials

Join us as we welcome Nuremberg journalist, Steffen Radlmaier for a lecture entitled “The Media and the Nuremberg Trials, Nuremberg 1945/46.”

The Nuremberg Trials began in the autumn of 1945. Their historical relevance is unquestioned. For the first time ever, the political and military leaders responsible for a war were charged and convicted in a court of law. The event generated huge interest, in particular as the Allies intended it be used as a lesson for future generations. Despite that long-sighted goal, however, in the years following have we really become capable of learning from historical mistakes?
