World Music Day

Inspired by the music of the 1968 Olympics, World Music Day is a daylong music event featuring local performers performing musical styles from around the world! Along the way, each performer will provide backstory into the history and cultural significance of the musical style they perform.

For each day session, purchase admission to The Center here.

Schedule of events:

  • 10:15 – 11:15 AM
    • Performances from the current fellows of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Project, performances and testimonials from our alumni hosts, and backstory on how arts education is a human right illustrated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
  • 12 – 4 PM
    • With admission to The Center, see local artists perform from cultures around the world. Enjoy food from Food Trucks surrounding The Center and enjoy a self-guided tour of The Center.
  • 8 – 11 PM
    • Get ready for Tough People Do! a concert reflecting music from the 1968 Olympic Games. Listen to music from the era and eat good food as the Food Trucks will still be around for the evening events.
