2017 American Craft Show in Atlanta

The American Craft Show returns to Cobb Galleria Centre, March 17-19, 2017, where more than 225 of the country’s top contemporary craft artists will present their latest handmade creations in jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor. The show, which will celebrate ACC’s 75th anniversary, will run for three days with a special $5 ticket price Friday evening after 5 p.m. Show-goers will enjoy the return of Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft, Hip Pop, Let’s Make programs and Style Slam.

Hip Pop is an emerging artists program that will highlight the creative works of talented artists who are new to the show scene. Participating artists, who will be selected through a jurying process, will be grouped into shared booths where each artist will receive a display space. This community-based structure will provide a supportive atmosphere for the best and brightest emerging talents to interact with each other, as well as seasoned artists and show-goers, all while having the chance to show off their crafts and skills.

Let’s Make is an initiative that connects craftsmanship to craft by honing in on the actual process of bringing a conceptualized idea of craft to life. During the show, a variety of artisans will provide interactive demonstrations at “Inspiration Stations,” where show-goers will have the chance to participate in the actual process of creating a piece of artwork.

Style Slam, ACC’s newest program addition, returns for its second year, pairing four professional stylists with the talented network of ACC fashion wearable, accessory and jewelry artists to demonstrate how the statement pieces ACC is known for are the perfect fit for any fashion-conscious wardrobe.

Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft is returning for its fifth year, with this year’s theme being “In Space and Time.” This home décor exhibition, which puts craft into context by featuring room vignettes created by designers who have been inspired by objects of fine craft, will feature iconic pieces that visually communicate the changing styles throughout the decades.
