The Atlanta Jazz Festival’s MARTA Mondays’ final event will take place Monday, May 21 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Midtown Station as a part of the 31 Days of Jazz events. MARTA Mondays feature free live jazz at a different MARTA transit station on Monday afternoons. These two-hour jazz concerts provide a preview to the upcoming Atlanta Jazz Festival in Piedmont Park.
Who:
Performing for the final MARTA Monday will be Grüt. Grüt formed in Atlanta in 2015 consisting of trombonist Daniel Wytanis, guitarist Patrick Arthur, bassist Brandon Boone and percussionist Morgan Guerin. The members of Grüt each draw from a wide spectrum of genres and influences. In two short years together, Grüt has performed extensively around Atlanta venues including Elliot St. Pub, Aisle 5 and The Buckhead Theatre.
