Atlanta’s best race course! The scenic 13.1 mile HALF MARATHON course highlights some of Atlanta’s most historical landmarks. Runners start in Midtown Atlanta, traveling parallel to the M.L.K. historical site, and wind through the Freedom Parkway Trail by the Carter Center along the Beltline. An enjoyable course that finishes in historic Piedmont Park.

The Jeff Galloway Half Marathon Course is USATF Certified.
Course Limit – The course will be open for 4:30 hours or until the last participant passes. If participants are maintaining a slower than 20:36 minute per mile pace, they will be asked to move to the sidewalk between miles 7.25 (10:27 AM) and 8.25 (10:48 AM). After mile 8.25, participants can move back onto the road and will have a lane all the way until mile 11, when they enter Piedmont Park where there is no vehicular traffic.
Start Line: 11th Street and Peachtree Walk (Midtown Atlanta), 106 11th Street, Atlanta, GA 30309. Take Marta to the Midtown Rail Station to get to the start line.
On Course Music
Safety/Insurance – Due to safety and insurance issues, no strollers, baby joggers, roller blades, animals or other vehicular apparatus are allowed on the race course.
Support Stations at miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 11.5. *Porta-Potties will be available at the Start/Finish Line and at each of the support stops.
Finish Line: Piedmont Park’s Greystone (between the Active Oval and the swimming pool)
After the race, you’ll receive your finisher medal, get your picture taken with Jeff and pick up your after-race refreshments. It’s a pleasant walk to MARTA (Midtown or Arts Center).

Virtual Option
We are excited to offer this NEW Virtual Option, allowing colleagues to be active participants in the annual Jeff Galloway HALF MARATHON Premier Race Weekend, even if they cannot attend the 5K on December 16th or the HALF MARATHON on December 17, 2017! Each participant will receive an official finisher’s medal and T-shirt after receipt of proof of completion for each event. These items should shipped 4-5 weeks after 2017 JG Half Marathon Weekend Events on December 15-17, 2017. Use the virtual option as an opportunity to challenge Colleagues in a different City!

Proof
1) Individuals must register for the virtual event by April 2, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST.
2) Individuals must complete an accurately measured course (a training run or an actual race completed between May 31, 2017 and April 2, 2018) AND send virtual race proof/results to VirtualRace@JeffGalloway.com by April 2, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST. Sorry, no exceptions!
3) Each person must send in their own individual results. Group results will not be accepted.
4) Submit a copy of your half marathon or 5K results by sending in proof of finish, place, time, date and event (if applicable) to VirtualRace@JeffGalloway.com.
5) Individuals must send a snapshot of the GPS recorded course and time to VirtualRace@JeffGalloway.com. Photos from apps like Nike Run, Lolo, RunKeeper, etc. or even a photo of your Garmin that shows date, distance and proof of time will be accepted. Treadmill documentation is also accepted – please include an image of the date as well via a watch or other.
6) There is no “official” time limit for completing for the Virtual Half Marathon or 5K distance, however the complete distance should be finished within one day.
7) All virtual race proof/results must be received at VirtualRace@JeffGalloway.com by April 2, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST. Sorry, no exceptions!
