Atlanta Dance Collective will be hosting their third season of performances at Balzer Theatre at Herrens, April 28th, 2018 at 4:30 & 7:30pm. The show, entitled B E I N G, will boast choreography from ADC members Britt Whitmoyer Fishel, Sarah Stokes, and Gray Stoner, as well as guest works by Watershed Dance Theatre (ATL) and RAD/Renay Aumiller Dances (NC). In addition to these works, Atlanta Dance Collective began an Artist in Residence program this season, and are proud to be performing a new work by Mallory Baxley of Zoetic Dance Ensemble (ATL).
B E I N G is focused on humanity. How we are all connected, how we emote, relate, how we view the world. Each choreographer is working under the parameters of this idea and will be presenting work that ties into the connected motif.
Additionally, Atlanta Dance Collective is hosting the 3rd Annual Opine Dance Film Festival during its season of performances. Saturday, April 28th, ODFF will be screening an adjudicated professional program, where the audience can vote for a festival favorite. We believe Screendance and Dance on Film is an incredibly important part of our practice. The adjudicated professional program is a curated evening of dance films from all over the world. *Please note that our last film in the program is for mature audiences, citing language and violence.
Please join us for an exciting evening of dance!
