Cars & ‘Q for the Cause returns to Choate Construction’s headquarters on April 18, 2020 in support of the Georgia Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The popular car show and party now tops 1,200 attendees who will revel over 120+ prize-winning rides along with a generous spread of mouth-watering BBQ, ATL’s favorite craft brews and wine, silent auction, live music, a friendly car competition and more. This ever-growing Spring event has become one of the CF Foundation’s top passion fundraising events after raising a record-breaking $521,581 last year and over $1.7 million to date.
This year, Cars & ‘Q’s event committee is especially revved up about a pivotal drug discovery now FDA-approved that arrests the genetic defect in 90% of those who suffer from cystic fibrosis, the lung disorder affecting about 30,000 in the U.S. “Since Cars & ‘Q’s beginnings in 2009, our 140+ industry partners, patrons and volunteers have anticipated and hoped for this momentous milestone,” said Event Founder Emily Bridges. “We’ve still got work to do, as 90% is not 100%, but I am so proud of Cars & ‘Q’s role in this colossal step.” Choate Construction began supporting the cystic fibrosis cause 30 years ago when a family friend of Millard Choate’s was diagnosed; they were recently named the Top 2019 Corporate Team in the Nation by CFF, having raised over $3.5 million to date.
