Atlanta – (March 31, 2018) – Instructors and students in the Jewelry Program at Chastain Arts Center present their handmade jewelry at a one-day trunk show on Saturday, March 31 from 10 am to 5 pm in the Chastain Arts Center Gallery. All are invited and admission is free.
The show celebrates the talents of the students and instructors in the Jewelry Program. Twelve artists present their unique works, exhibiting and selling jewelry in a range of materials, styles, and prices. A piece of jewelry takes on greater meaning when you can meet the artist, learn the how it’s made, and understand what makes it special.
Chastain’s Director, Karen Lowe, says, “We have incredibly talented people working in the Jewelry and Metalsmithing studio at the Arts Center. This annual showing is a culmination of their yearlong efforts and the only time works are made available for purchase. We invite the community to come to see the jewelry, meet the artists who make it, and get to know what’s happening at the Arts Center. This is your community arts center and we love meeting our neighbors!”
Proceeds from sales go to support the Jewelry Program which offers a wide range of beginning to advanced classes in jewelry, metalsmithing, and enameling year round and open to all. Contact the Arts Center for more information about class registration.
