Cotopaxi (https://www.cotopaxi.com), is coming to Atlanta this Friday, 10/26 for a traveling event they call “Questival“: https://www.cotopaxi.com/products/questival-atlanta-2018. The idea is to ignite advocacy through community in Cotopaxi‘s DNA of adventure.
- The Atlanta Questival will take place on 10/26. The Cotopaxi Questival is a 24-hour adventure race where teams of 2-6 explore the unknown in their city and the spaces around it. It’s about getting folks outside, responsibly. With 24 hours and 200+ challenges there are countless chances for adventure from Stone Mountain to Krog Street Tunnel and beyond. Participants start their adventure by collecting their Cotopaxi Luzon daypack at the Friday evening check-in at Grant Park. After the 24 hours, participants gather at the finish line to collect a finisher medal, hang out with other teams and collect a prize! The main part that ties into Cotopaxi‘s mission is that challenges revolve around doing acts of service to improve the community and bring smiles to people’s faces, like, in 2017:
- Over 500,000 pieces of trash were picked up from parks, beaches and communities, and disposed properly!
- Over 1,500 hours were volunteered at local organizations by Questival teams outside of Questival events.
- Around 750L of blood were donated to local blood banks
