France-Atlanta 2018: Lung Cancer Workshop

Lung cancer is a truly global problem, causing more deaths in both men and women than any other cancer worldwide. Despite improved treatments that have led to decreased mortality rates, the fight against the disease remains a top priority for scientists.

Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute Executive Director Walter J. Curran Jr., MD; Deputy Director Suresh Ramalingam, MD; and Director of Canceropole du Grand-Ouest in France Gilles Favre, MD; will chair this workshop, which gathers outstanding French and American researchers and clinicians for a discussion on screening and latest developments in thoracic malignancy research. Interactive question-and-answer sessions provide the opportunity to engage with faculty as they share their perspective and personal experience on the clinical challenges and ongoing trials in lung cancer management. This conference also offers opportunities for networking and collaboration.
