Headline, Byline, Exclusive: King’s Legacy Through Media

Come to a welcoming reception and panel discussion exploring Dr. King’s legacy and relationship with the media.

In partnership with Morehouse College and the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library, The Center is pleased to host a panel discussion regarding the newest collection of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Voice to the Voiceless Collection, Headline, Byline, Exclusive: King’s Legacy through Media. This exhibition explores Dr. King’s portrayal in magazine editorials, publication cover art, newspaper articles, and television during his lifetime. After a welcoming reception and a preview of the documents, Guests will hear from a panel of scholars as they explore the connection between King’s legacy and the media. Confirmed panelists include Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Hank Klibanoff and Former editor for the Atlanta Daily World, Alexis Scott.
