Hispaniola Film Series presents “Storming Papa Doc”

“Storming Papa Doc: The Siege of Haiti’s Casernes Dessalines by Captain Alix Pasquet on July 28, 1958”
A film with illustrations by Chevelin Pierre and animation by James C. Bazile. Mario L. Delatour’s animated documentary follows three ex-Haitian army officers who are bent on the removal of the new elected Haitian president. 2014 Amistad Films.

This free event will be held in the Dolive Theater which is on the 2nd Floor, Philip Weltner Library, Lowry Hall. It is part of the campus-wide celebration, Hispaniola: A Celebration of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The exhibition Hispaniola is on view in OUMA from September 30 through December 17, 2017
