Seating for Geek Trivia can be reserved ahead of time via our Open Table online reservation system. Teams are limited to a party of 8. If you have more than 8 you will have to split into multiple teams.

Show up with your team before 8:00 and get a pad of paper and a pen. Think up a clever team name and turn it in before Trivia starts. Some teams choose to make fun of current events in their name, some stick with a classic name every night. It’s up to you!

Battle & Brew Geek Trivia Rules: There are 3 things that need to be on your answer sheet every time you turn in an answer- Your Team Name (or number), Your points wagered, and your answer. If you are missing any one of these 3 things you may not get points for your answer! If you don’t know the answer, draw us a photo or put down something funny. You CANNOT use your phone or internet to come up with the answers. That is considered cheating and you will be disqualified. You cannot be on more than one team.

How trivia works: We work similarly to other bar trivias, but there are some differences so please read through this if you are a newcomer to Battle & Brew’s geek Trivia. There will be 3 sets of 3 questions each, a Halftime Question, then 3 more sets of 3 questions each before a Final Trivia Question. You can wager 1, 3 or 5 points on each set. You cannot repeat your wager. So if you wager 5 points on the first question, you can only wager 1 or 3 points on the second question. You MUST wager points even if you don’t know the answer, or else we will mark you down for having used your highest wager left. This lets us know that you are still playing and haven’t left. Once a new set of 3 questions is started, your point values reset.

The halftime question usually is a multiple answer question where there is a set amount of points you can earn. The points on the second half of trivia are still 1, 3 and 5 (keep your 2, 4, & 6’s at home). For the Final Trivia Question you will wager between 1 and 15 points, these points are the only points that can be deducted from your score if you get the answer wrong! All the team point values will be read aloud before the Final Question is asked to give everyone a fair idea of how many points they should wager to be able to win. You must wager at least 1 point on this question.

Prizes: Standard Prizes are House cash for First, Second and Third place. There may be weeks where we have additional prizes for the winners, and/or for participants. So even if you don’t win trivia, you may still be able to walk away with a prize! House cash won cannot be used on the same night it was received.
