The Neighborhood Jazz Series, which is part of The Atlanta Jazz Festival’s 31 Days of Jazz celebration, takes place at various City of Atlanta parks on select Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of May leading up to the annual Atlanta Jazz Festival on Memorial Day Weekend. Each concert is hosted by a different City of Atlanta Councilmember and is family-friendly and FREE to the public.
This Neighborhood Jazz Series event will be presented by Councilmember Carla Smith on Sunday, May 12 at Grant Park from 4 – 8 p.m.
Performing artists include:
Jacob Deaton Trio, which is led by Atlanta-based guitarist and singer-songwriter Jacob Deaton, well-known for his diverse career in the worlds of jazz, blues, rock and Americana.
Mabu’s Ark Band, which graced the 39th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival stage in 2016 with its electric sound, combining soul, jazz and reggae into one fantastic performance.
