Out Front Theatre Company will kick off the new year with the Southeastern premiere of The Mystery of Love and Sex, beginning February 1 -18. Written by Bathsheba Doran, the poignant and humorous show shares a complex love story that will take audiences on a journey from laughter to tears and back.
Deep in the American south, Charlotte and Jonny have been best friends since they were nine. She’s Jewish, he’s Christian; he’s black, she’s white. Their differences intensify their connection, until sexual desire complicates everything in surprising, compulsive ways. The performance portrays an unexpected love story about the intertwining of souls and consequences of growing up.
Audiences should note that The Mystery of Love and Sex contains full nudity.
Performances run February 1-18, with shows on Thursdays – Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $20 for students and seniors and $25 for adults. Out Front Theatre Company is located at 999 Brady Ave., Ste. 10, Atlanta, Georgia 30318.
