Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia’s first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence, will host an inaugural “Executives in Action” luncheon on November 10, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Ansley Golf Club. The luncheon will commemorate the organization’s 40th anniversary by educating Atlanta’s leaders on the intersection of domestic violence and the workplace.
Attendees will enjoy a keynote address from the immediate past president of the American Bar Association and senior managing shareholder at Baker Donelson, Linda Klein. Klein will focus on the business and legal community’s response to domestic violence.
The event will also feature eye-opening testimony from Charmagne Helton, a former PADV client and current member of the PADV Board of Directors. Helton recently received the inaugural 2017 National Mary Kay Ash award under the category of People’s Choice: Voice of the Year. Jennifer Graham-Johnson, chief human resources officer at WestRock, will join the two in a discussion on how employers can assist employees navigating the dangers of domestic violence.
PADV is an organization that has served metro Atlanta since 1977 and is currently the largest nonprofit domestic violence agency in Georgia. Their mission is to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors. PADV helps to transform the lives of approximately 20,000 women and children every year through emergency intervention, education, violence prevention and long‐term advocacy.
