PADV and Hilton Atlanta team up to Present
a Men’s Leadership Breakfast Series
WHAT:
Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia’s first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence, is partnering with Hilton Atlanta to host its third Men’s Leadership Breakfast on Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at the Hilton Atlanta Airport.
This session will focus specifically on domestic violence as it relates to the workplace. Victims of domestic violence lose nearly eight million days of paid work per year, resulting in a $1.8 billion loss in productivity, as reported by the Department of Labor. The total costs associated with workplace violence are estimated at $36 billion annually and affects over two million Americans per year.
PADV’s Men’s Leadership Breakfast Series is a program created to encourage more men to be involved in the mission to end domestic violence. The program was formed at the end of 2016 with the first breakfast taking place in March of 2017. In conjunction with Hilton Hotels, the breakfast series began after a valued Hilton Atlanta employee was shot and killed by her boyfriend while she was at work.
This is a four-part series of breakfasts, which will take place at different Hilton-owned properties throughout the metro Atlanta area. The last breakfast will take place on December 14 from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Hilton Atlanta downtown.
