SATURDAY 5/13: Feed Atlanta with Hands on Atlanta and State Farm

WHAT: State Farm® and local nonprofit Hands on Atlanta want to make a difference in the community. State Farm will be at Hands on Atlanta on Saturday, May 13 and is asking hundreds of people to come out and volunteer. The goal of the Neighborhood of Good Event™ is to demonstrate how easy it is for friends and neighbors to get involved and make a positive difference in their community.

At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to volunteer and participate in activities like filling bags with nonperishable, prepackaged food items, which will then be given to local children in need. In addition to volunteer opportunities, the event will also have music and special guest speakers, including Celebrity Chef Richard Blais. All items will be donated to Hands on Atlanta in order to benefit 50 local schools.

WHEN: Saturday, May 13
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Schedule a volunteering shift at NeighborhoodofGood.com™. Walk-ins also welcome.

WHY: State Farm launched the Neighborhood of Good initiative to make it easy for people to volunteer in their own communities.

Making positive change is much more than monetary donation—the goal is to inspire and empower people to get involved in their neighborhoods to create a positive, sustainable, and measurable social impact. State Farm wants to help people understand how they, too, can make a difference. More details can be found on NeighborhoodofGood.com
