The Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance hosts its “Teal Trot” 5K as part of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday, September 16 at a new location, Chastain Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the race kicks off at 10 a.m. The annual walk/run, one of the largest ovarian cancer awareness events in the Southeast, will celebrate, honor and remember gynecologic cancer survivors and patients, their families, caregivers and friends. Teal Trot is a family-friendly event that raises funds to support and expand the statewide education and awareness programs of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance. Strollers and pets (on leash) are welcome. As always, ovarian cancer survivors and patients walk for free. Otherwise, the registration fees start at $30 and will increase closer to the event date.
