Join Atlanta Photography Group (APG) to meet photographic artist, Enrique Samson, and learn about his project, The Navel of the Moon, an ongoing exploration of the cultural complexity of Mexico.
Enrique Samson (b.1973, Mexico City) received his Master of Fine Art degree in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He also recently completed a Certificate in Architectural Imagination at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He has a business degree by the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico and is a former Fortune-500 marketing executive.
His series The Navel of the Moon is an ongoing project inspired by his combined love for his country, the modernist aesthetics of the 20th Century, and “the inherently satisfying physical interaction with analog technology” (which includes film photography that he mixes with digital post-processing). This body of work has received multiple awards and has been published, exhibited, and purchased in Asia, Europe, North and South America.
