Vinetta, Atlanta’s newest pop-up, will debut with a dinner service on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm at a mano (587 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30312).
Expect a selection of fun, funky small plates that can be ordered a la carte or as a full menu to be casually coursed out. Seasonal food that highlights the ever-changing bounty of what our farmers grow locally, Vinetta’s cuisine is definitely based around the Southern larder but celebrates flavors from across the world.
Vinetta is a duo of chef Joel Penn and partner Amanda Newsom. Joel is the chef de cuisine at Wrecking Bar Brewpub, and Amanda is the marketing and communications manager at Giving Kitchen. Both fans of food, Vinetta started off as Tasty Beast Supper Club five years ago in Athens, GA as a way for Joel to try recipes from cookbooks on his shelf that vegetarian Amanda wasn’t up for partaking in. What began as a few friends coming over to help Joel explore different cuisines evolved into a full-blown seated supper club each quarter with a different menu theme each time. When Joel and Amanda moved to Atlanta a year ago, they began rethinking their supper club and decided to start fresh with a new name and new look as they joined the pop-up scene.
At each supper club, a different chef joins Joel in the kitchen to help prepare the meal. Will Cantrell of Staplehouse has been with Tasty Beast for the past three dinners, so Joel and Amanda are excited to have Will by their sides for Vinetta’s debut on December 2 as well as they begin this new adventure.
